Show Team is a year-long commitment beginning September 1st, requiring a minimum of two lessons per week (one week day + one weekend day) and attendance at a minimum of four local schooling shows per year. We generally attend shows from April through October. Participation in schooling shows costs an average of $600-$1000 per show. Failure to meet lesson/show requirements may result in forfeiture of a rider’s position on MEC's Show Team. Show Team members are expected to wear their own proper riding attire and dress appropriately at the barn and in lessons (riding pants, boots, helmet and vest, no tank tops nor crop tops, shirts should be long enough to be tucked into pants) and purchase appropriate showing attire. As a Show Team Member, riders are required to properly care for their equine partners and tack as well as be a supportive teammate and behave in a manner that reflects positively on the Center.
